Before diving into the heat of August, we’re reflecting on the incredible string of events we produced throughout July. This month brought the summer birthday season as we helped the US celebrate its 249th birthday at Boston Harborfest, and the City of Quincy celebrate its 400th anniversary at the Quincy 400 Maritime Festival at Marina Bay. July was also a powerful month for giving back as we helped raise $1 million for Boston Children’s Hospital at its annual Corporate Cup!

Let’s revisit July’s hottest events!

Boston Harborfest

Red, white, and boom!

From July 2 through July 4, we welcomed thousands of guests to Boston for the 43rd annual Boston Harborfest. Presented by Meet Boston and supported by incredible sponsors including the Downtown Boston Alliance, Harborfest proved to be the city’s go-to spot to celebrate Independence Day, drawing families and visitors from across the country. This cherished tradition included nonstop live music at Downtown Crossing and Christopher Columbus park, a visit from the U.S. Navy’s USS Donald Cook, and the iconic fireworks display on July 2. We’re already planning how to make next year’s Harborfest bigger and better to commemorate America’s 250th anniversary!

Quincy 400

Celebrating Quincy’s coastline, maritime, and presidential history

We beat the heat at Marina Bay while celebrating the holiday weekend with the Quincy 400 Maritime Festival, held July 4 through July 6. Over three days, Conventures brought the Marina Bay boardwalk to life with kids entertainment, music, food and drink, and the crowd-favorite children’s decorated bike and wagon parade. It was an honor to commemorate Quincy’s rich maritime heritage, its 27 miles of coastline, and its proud legacy as the birthplace of two U.S. Presidents.

Boston Children’s Hospital Corporate Cup

Team building at its peak

Conventures had a big day at the Harvard Athletic Complex on July 10 for the Boston Children’s Hospital Corporate Cup. Not even the rain could dampen the energy as nearly 1,000 participants from 55 corporate teams arrived with game faces on. A huge congratulations to Baystate Financial for taking home the win, and a heartfelt thank you to all the teams who brought their A-game and helped support the amazing patients at Boston Children’s Hospital.

One Year Until Sail Boston® 2026

The Tall Ships are Coming!

We marked the one-year countdown until Sail Boston with a press conference on July 16, joined by Massachusetts Governor Maura Healey, Boston Mayor Michelle Wu, the Sail Boston Board of Directors, and representatives from the U.S. Navy, U.S. Coast Guard, Meet Boston, and Massport. Together, we celebrated the highly anticipated return of the Tall Ships, an event that brings vessels from more than 25 countries and generates millions of dollars for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the City of Boston. With this preview, the excitement is already building for next summer’s glorious event.
