As the weather heats up, so does our event calendar! The month was packed with everything from sports events to galas, keeping our team busy. Let’s look back on the month that kickstarted our busy season.

Honoring Fallen Local Heroes

Massachusetts Fallen Heroes Patriot Week Gala and Memorial Rededication

On May 22 and 24, our team once again supported Massachusetts Fallen Heroes at its 15th Annual Patriot Week Gala and 10th Annual Rededication Ceremony. Conventures was on-site managing both events, and we’re proud to support an organization that so devoutly honors those who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our country and their families.

Celebrating Leadership for Our City

Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting

On May 20, we helped the Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce produce its Annual Meeting at the Omni Boston Hotel. The event gathered hundreds of Boston’s business, government, and civic leaders for an evening of networking and celebrating the accomplishments of Greater Boston’s business leaders. We’re honored to have helped organize this event and acknowledge the brightest stars in our city once again.

Riding for a Cause

National Brain Tumor Ride

We were happy to team up with the National Brain Tumor Society for their National Brain Tumor Ride on May 18. We helped with the pre-event planning, festival, and ride course management across three ride courses all 50 scenic miles. The event was held in recognition of Brain Tumor Awareness Month, raising awareness about the impact of brain tumors on patients and their loved ones.

Illuminating Culture and Community

Boston Chinatown Neighborhood Center’s Lantern Festival Gala

On May 13, we had the opportunity to assist BCNC in the production of its Lantern Festival Gala, the organization’s largest fundraiser for its holistic, family-centered programs. The Gala took guests through Chinatown, with opportunities to become immersed in Chinese culture through food, performances, and speeches. Conventures is proud to have helped with the overall event management, from the timeline to helping more than 300 guests enjoy the festivities.

Walking for Change

Project Bread’s Walk for Hunger

On May 4, Conventures partnered with Project Bread, to produce The Walk for Hunger, a 3-mile walk to help raise money for critically needed hunger relief in Massachusetts. The Walk for Hunger is Project Bread’s signature fundraiser and features multiple family-friendly activities for guests and the public. This year, more than 3,000 people raised more than one million dollars to support Project Bread. Conventures was honored to support such a meaningful event by managing many of the event’s details and day-of logistics.

Stretching Boundaries for Health and Healing

Boston Children’s Hospital’s Yoga Reaches Out

On May 4, more than 700 participants, marketplace vendors, event sponsors, and volunteers came together for a day of inspiration and empowerment at Boston Children’s Hospital’s Yoga Reaches Out. Participants of all experience levels and yoga styles joined the fun at The TRACK at New Balance, raising more than $400,000 to help find lifesaving treatments for patients at Boston Children’s Hospital. We are proud to have helped organize this event again this year.
