As spring arrives, so does a wave of events, and Boston Marathon weekend was no exception, keeping our team on their toes. In addition to the Marathon festivities, we managed several other events throughout the busy month. Here’s a look back at April 2025!
Celebrating Rising Stars in Hospitality
HTM Annual Awards
The Department of Hospitality & Tourism Management (HTM) at the UMass Amherst Isenberg School of Management hosted its HTM Awards at the Omni Seaport Hotel on April 7. We were honored to provide planning and production management for the event, which highlights the hospitality industry and the emerging professionals who will shape its future. We are always impressed with the work of HTM and the rising stars that emerge from its programs.
Creating Marathon Magic
Helping fuel the 129th Boston Marathon weekend
Although the runners have crossed the finish line and the barricades have been taken away, the excitement from Boston Marathon weekend still lingers! For the 47th year, we had the privilege of collaborating with the Boston Athletic Association to organize the Boston Marathon Expo, held April 18–20. The Hynes Convention Center buzzed with energy for three days, showcasing a vibrant celebration of fitness and the running community. Thousands of runners and their guests explored, tested, and shopped for the newest products and services in the running world.
Nurturing Nature
The Green & White Gala shines bright
On April 11, Conventures assisted the Friends of the Public Garden in hosting its annual Green & White Gala at The Newbury Boston. The gala brought together supporters to raise funds for the Friends’ annual parks care budget, allowing the Friends to invest more than $2.6 million in maintaining the Boston Common, Public Garden, and Commonwealth Avenue Mall each year. Conventures helped guests enjoy stunning décor, a delicious reception dinner, and an unforgettable after-party.
Shining a Spotlight on Leadership
NACD New England Chapter’s Director of the Year Awards
NACD New England (NACDNE) gathered at the Seaport Hotel on April 28 to recognize the leadership and accomplishments of corporate directors across New England. The event featured speeches from esteemed guests and the 2025 Director of the Year Awards. Conventures is proud to have worked with NACDNE once again this year, managing event registration and overall production.
