As we slowly reach the bottom of our Halloween candy bag, we want to reflect on all the fun we had last month. We teamed up with amazing local organizations to honor the best in our communities, fundraise for important causes, and celebrate milestones. Let’s look back at the events we produced in October!
Boston 10K for Women®
We had a blast hosting the 49th running of the Boston 10K for Women on October 11! Representing 42 states and 21 countries, more than 5,600 women gathered at Boston Common for a morning of strength, speed, and solidarity. This year’s race featured free pre-race warm-ups and an outdoor expo, and our runners donated more than $37,000 to our partner charities.
Emily Sisson, the American record holder in the marathon, returned to the top of the podium for the third time, and set a new event record of 31:05. It was another amazing year, and it made us even more fired up as we look forward to our 50th running in 2026.
2026 race registration will tentatively open on Friday, March 6, 2026, and stay tuned for more updates!
The New England Council
On October 20, we reunited with the New England Council for its 2025 Centennial Celebration at Encore Boston Harbor. The event gathered more than 1,800 New England business, academic, non-profit, and government leaders to commemorate the Council’s 100 years of impact on our region. Conventures handled all aspects of event production to create a night of networking, reflection, and celebration.

Boston Chowderfest 2025
When the weather gets chilly, that means it’s time for a local favorite—clam chowder! We celebrated the New England delicacy at Chowderfest on October 25 in collaboration with the Downtown Boston Alliance. Thousands of visitors sampled chowders from participating restaurants as part of Color Flows Family Fest, a festival of family-friendly activities in Downtown Boston. Our team managed pre-event logistics and planning, and provided on-site support through the event.

Adopt-A-Student Foundation Gala
Conventures teamed up with the Adopt-A-Student Foundation on October 30 to host its 24th annual Gala at the Seaport Hotel! The elegant evening commemorated Cathedral High School’s Centennial, and featured gourmet food stations, cocktails, and a speaking program. We’re proud to once again produce this impactful event, and help raise funds to benefit current and future Cathedral scholars.

YMCA SPARK!
On October 8, our team delighted more than 300 staff, partners, and donors at Artists for Humanity for YMCA SPARK! It is the YMCA of Greater Boston’s largest fundraising event of the year, and gathers local community leaders to support local kids and their families. This year’s event raised more than $600,000 for community programs that remove barriers and create opportunities for individuals to thrive. It was an honor to assist in overall event management to celebrate the wonderful work the YMCA does in Greater Boston.
