The Legatum Center at MIT was founded in the belief that economic progress and good governance in low-income countries emerge from entrepreneurship and innovations that empower ordinary citizens. The Legatum Center retained Conventures to plan its inaugural Progress through Innovation Conference in order to announce its first class of Fellows and to call attention to the Center's agenda.

Response:

Conventures' scope of services included production and stage management, registration, ticketing and credentialing, creative services, A/V management, logistics, audience acquisition and speaker coordination.

• An unprecedented gathering of five Nobel Laureates joined multidisciplinary professors and entrepreneurs from Afghanistan, Kenya and India to focus on issues around bottom-up entrepreneurship.
• The conference sold-out, surpassing all expectations for an inaugural event.
• Due to the overwhelming success of the event, Conventures has continued its work with the Legatum Center and is now assisting in the planning of the 3rd annual Progress through Innovation Conference.
