Conventures has produced the John Hancock Sports & Fitness Expo for 32 years. The Expo showcases the latest products, services and trends in the health and fitness industry from more than 200 exhibitors. The Expo also serves as the Official Number Pick-Up location for all registered Boston Marathon runners.

Conventures coordinates all sales, sponsorship support, event management and staffing. In addition, the team works in close coordination with the Boston Athletic Association and the other sponsors and stakeholders of the Boston Marathon to ensure a safe and enjoyable weekend experience.

Conventures is committed to keeping the Expo fresh, exciting and ever-expanding to meet the interests of the health and fitness-minded public. The team strives to be at the pulse of innovative marketing initiatives in order to target the top brands in the industry for exposure as well as to create new event elements for the Expo.

In 2008, Conventures introduced the Sports Medicine Symposium, featuring well-known doctors in the field of sports medicine. In 2009, the Hydration Zone was featured. In 2010, the Expo will include more green products and an international marathon pavilion. As producers of this well-attended 2.5 day event, the Conventures team strives to provide exceptional service and attention not only to the attending public, but to the exhibitors as well.
