Dress for Success Boston is a non-profit organization whose mission is to promote the economic independence of disadvantaged women by providing professional attire, a network of support and the career development tools necessary to thrive in work and life. After four years as an entirely volunteer-run organization, Dress for Success Boston retained Conventures to guide the organization in creating and managing its first fundraiser.
Response:
Conventures developed a creative event concept and outlined a clear fund-raising plan. Event co-chairs were established and Conventures assisted in developing a Host Committee to raise awareness and funds for the event. Conventures also assisted in creating sponsor packages, coordinated the design of collateral materials and managed table and ticket sales as well as provided on site management and production services. As project managers from concept to completion, Conventures offered guidance and support throughout the planning process, keeping the committee on schedule and on budget.

- The Celebrating Self-Sufficiency Luncheon, now in its 4th year, attracts over 500 attendees each year. The fund-raising and friend-raising luncheon supports the important initiatives of Dress for Success Boston.
